If you see messages piling up in your Outlook outbox or people you're sending messages to aren't receiving them, try the following methods to fix the issue. Clear the cache or recreate the Outlook profile if performance is degraded or errors persist. If Outlook is NOT able to start in safe mode, then try the sites.google.com next proposed solution below, entitled Create a new Outlook profile. In the first place, check whether your antivirus is up-to-date. If the above does not help, turn off the antivirus and see if it brings Outlook back to life.

If it does, the problem is definitely in your antivirus software. In this case, you can either contact its vendor for assistance or simply choose another protection program. When you install Outlook, an Inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe) is also installed on your PC. The Inbox repair tool can resolve problems by scanning your Outlook data files, and repairing errors. To use the Inbox repair tool, exit Outlook, and then follow the steps in Repair Outlook Data Files (.pst and .ost). As your mailbox size increases, more resources are required to open each folder.

We are aware that some users may not be able to receive email from Gmail accounts. If you access your Outlook.com account through the iOS Mail app, you may be repeatedly asked to enter your username and password.
